Job Duties:
- Keenly observe and document client needs, interests, and support areas

- Set objectives with the foresight to transition goals into ADLs
- Safe and timely self transportation between client homes and clinic spaces

COMPENSATION: This is a PRN hourly position with travel time and mileage included and is expected to grow into a full caseload quickly. Pay is dependent on experience and education. After school and evening availability is REQUIRED for this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule intake and provide individual treatment to clients of all ages, specifically children and teens.
Seek clinical consultation with clinical team members as necessary.
Completes assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other chart related documents and correspondence for assigned clients within a timely manner and according to organizational policy.
Provide referrals for individuals to other disciplines within the agency as appropriate.
Adheres to working schedules as needed to meet the needs of assigned clients.
Adheres to HIPPA laws and procedures at all times.
Attends regularly scheduled staff and clinical meetings.
Maintains appropriate certification and strives to increase professional growth through ongoing trainings.
Completes other duties as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music Therapy
Current certification from CBMT
At least one year of experience in the provision of music therapy to pediatric/adolescent clients is preferred, but not required.
Experience working with Autistic clients highly desired.
Music Together teacher certification preferred, but not required
New grads preparing for their board certification exam welcome to apply!
ABILITIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
Ability to attend to multiple tasks at once which are time sensitive.
Thorough knowledge of music therapy theory and practice, practice and care of the terminally ill, communication skills and case management.
Basic knowledge of Windows operating system and ability to advance computer skills as required.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, families, the public, and supervisors.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Current TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter
Annual Influenza Vaccination upon hire and annually thereafter
Possession of a valid state driver's license with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance.
TRAVEL:
This position requires regular travel to complete home visits.
