Music Therapy Info

Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based used of music to accomplish functional, non-musical goals within a therapeutic relationship by a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) who has completed a music therapy program approved by the American Music Therapy Association. It has been a formal profession since 1950. It is cost-effective and reimbursable.
Where? We work across the lifespan in various health and wellness settings: medical hospitals, psychiatry, hospice, schools, nursing homes, private practice, and in research.

What? Interventions: What do we do with music?

How? Techniques: the "iso-principle," client-centered and behavioral theory, music in spirituality and meeting psycho-social goals.
